چکیده
This study was designed to investigate ovarian gene transcriptional responses selected antidepressant drugs (imipramine and fluoxetine) in female rats. Fifteen rats (120 – 140 g) were used for this study. Imipramine (0.71 mg/kg) fluoxetine (0.57 given orally 50 days. The method of RT-PCR employed the expressions FSH-R, p53 Bcl-2 genes. Graphics generated as mean +/- SEM using GraphPad Prism version 8.0. Results revealed that significantly (p<0.05) up-regulated imipramine-treated relative their controls. Conclusively, it can be suggested imipramine induced follicular growth apoptosis Wistar

Pineal and Hypophyseal Responses to Selenium Treatments in Light Deprived Adult Female Wistar Rats
Dark is a generally known potent stimulus for melatonin secretion. Studies have also reported that pineal and hypophyseal endocrine secretions are influenced by nutritional factors. The study was designed to investigate the combined effect of selenium supplementations and light deprivation on pineal and hypophyseal secretions in female Wistar rats. 36 female cyclical Wistar rats were divided in...
متن کاملABCG5 gene responses to treadmill running with or without administration of Pistachio atlantica in female rats
Objective(s): ABC transporters comprise a large family of transmembrane proteins that use the energy provided by ATP hydrolysis to translocate a variety of substrates across biological membranes. All members of the human ABCG subfamily, except for ABCG2, are cholesterol-transporter. The aim of this study was to determine the liver, the small intestine and kidney ABCG5 relative gene expression...
متن کاملEffectiveness and cost-effectiveness of antidepressant treatment in primary health care: a six-month randomised study comparing fluoxetine to imipramine.
BACKGROUND Over the past decade, studies of the effectiveness of pharmacological treatment for depression have often been based on research designs intended to measure efficacy, and for this reason the results are of limited generalizability. Research is needed comparing the clinical and economic outcomes of antidepressants in day-to-day clinical practice. METHODS A six-month randomised prosp...
متن کاملAffective and adrenocorticotrophic responses to photoperiod in Wistar rats.
The present study tested the hypothesis that seasonal intervals of exposure to modest changes in photoperiod, typical of those experienced by humans living in temperate latitudes (10-14 h light/day), engage changes in emotional behaviour of Wistar rats, a commonly-used animal model for investigations of affective physiology. Short day lengths (<or= 12 h light/day) induced behavioural despair in...
متن کاملWistar-Kyoto Female Rats Are More Susceptible to Develop Sugar Binging: A Comparison with Wistar Rats
The hedonic component of the feeding behavior involves the mesolimbic reward system and resembles addictions. Nowadays, the excessive consumption of sucrose is considered addictive. The Wistar-Kyoto (WKY) rat strain is prone to develop anxiety and addiction-like behavior; nevertheless, a lack of information regarding their vulnerability to develop sugar binging-like behavior (SBLB) and how it a...
